RQAC membership is available to all persons who hold an interest in aviation, regardless of whether you currently fly, used to fly, would like to fly or just enjoy being around planes.

The membership types and costs are listed below.

Full membership – $135, including $50 joining fee
For persons over the age of 18 years. You will be entitled to full membership privileges including voting, bar access, social events and partner discounts.

Second Officer – $35 membership fee
For anyone under the age of 18 years who wants to join the club. Great for those starting their aviation journey or who are enthusiastic about all things aviation. Second Officers are entitled to attend all age social events.

Centenary membership – $1,000
In honour of RQAC’s legacy lasting over 100 years, we have our centenary membership. This membership is open to all persons who wish to join the club. Centenary members will have the same rights and privileges as full members. You will be titled a “Centenary Member” and will not be required to pay any further membership fees until 10 years from the date of joining.

The membership year is from the 1st of July to the following 30th of June. For those applying for full membership between the 1st of January and the 30th of June, the membership fee will be reduced to $95. This includes the joining fee. Second Officer membership will be $25.

Membership Process

If you would like to apply to become a member of the Royal Queensland Aero Club please download the Membership Application form below and email your completed form to president@rqac.com.au or mail to P.O. Box 380, Archerfield QLD 4108.

Upon receipt of your membership application form and payment of the fee, you will be contacted with confirmation of receipt. Your nomination for membership will then be put forward at the next board meeting. You will be contacted after the board meeting advising whether your nomination has been successful or otherwise. If your nomination has been successful, you will receive a confirmation letter and member pack stating your membership of the Royal Queensland Aero Club.
