Welcome to the latest edition of Slipstream, we have an exciting month ahead with a variety of events and new aircraft on showcase.
In March we held the inaugural ‘Pilot Night’ featuring Tony Maddern, a current airline captain. Tony explained the airline industry also taking questions on making today’s pilots more employable. The next ‘Pilot Night’ will be held on Monday 14 May, we hope to see you there.
The RQAC ‘Flight Deck Lounge’ bar also opened in March and will be open every Friday evening from 4pm to 6pm. The Flight Deck Lounge is the perfect opportunity for students and members to catch up.

Welcome to another edition of SLIPSTREAM and a special welcome back to all of our current students and members ready for another year at RQAC. We have a variety of exciting initiatives and events organised for our club throughout 2012.

As you can see we have made Slipstream Electronic, so please inform us of any changes to your email address. We would love to keep you updated on what’s happening around RQAC! Please also take the time to visit our new look RQAC website to see the events we have in store for 2012. Special note should be taken of the Pilot Night on March 12, featuring current airline captains to discuss trends in the airline industry and what’s it like to “fly the line” in 2012.

The Royal Queensland Aero Club (RQAC) is the oldest flying school in Australia. With a long and proud history it continues to play a significant role in Australian aviation. A non profit body, which also owns and operates the Airline Academy of Australia (AAA), and the Aviation Training Establishment for Aircraft Engineers (ATAE).
